Cookie notice
Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice explains how Vue Solutions Ltd (“Vue Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://vuesolutions.co.uk.
It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains more broadly how we use personal information.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your device when you visit a website. They can help a website work, remember choices, improve security or measure how the website is used.
Similar technologies can include browser storage, scripts, tags and pixels. In this notice, we use “cookies” as a convenient shorthand for cookies and comparable storage or access technologies used through the website.
2. The categories we use
Strictly necessary
These technologies are needed for the website, security or the cookie-preference service to work as intended. They may, for example, remember whether you accepted or rejected Analytics so that we do not ask you on every page.
Where a technology is genuinely necessary for the service you have requested, we do not ask for consent to use it. You may still be able to block it through your browser, but doing so can affect how the website works.
Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use the website. This can include information such as pages viewed, approximate visit timing, device and browser information, referring pages and interactions with the site.
We use a consent-based implementation at launch. GA4 is blocked until you accept Analytics. If you reject Analytics, we do not set the GA4 analytics cookies listed below.
We are not using the Vue Solutions website for behavioural advertising or retargeting at launch, so the launch cookie setup does not include an advertising-cookie category.
3. Cookies expected at launch
The table below reflects the technologies currently planned. The final published version will be checked against the live website after the consent platform and analytics configuration are installed.
| Cookie / storage | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Consent preference cookie (exact name depends on final provider) | Cookie-consent platform | Remembers your cookie choice and helps apply it across the website. | To be confirmed when the provider is selected; intended to be proportionate and periodically renewed. | Strictly necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Helps distinguish one browser from another so aggregated website-use statistics can be produced. | Up to 2 years by default; may be shorter depending on browser or configuration. | Analytics — only after consent |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Maintains session state for GA4 measurement. | Up to 2 years by default; may be shorter depending on browser or configuration. | Analytics — only after consent |
4. How to choose or change your cookie preferences
When you first visit the website, the cookie banner gives you a choice about Analytics. You can accept Analytics or continue with Analytics rejected.
Rejecting Analytics does not stop you using the main Vue Solutions website or accessing the information and services that do not depend on analytics.
You can change your decision later using the “Cookie settings” or equivalent control available on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you changed your choice, but it stops future analytics-cookie use in line with your updated preference.
5. Browser controls
Most browsers also let you view, delete or block cookies through their settings. Browser controls are separate from the preferences you set through our cookie banner.
If you block all cookies or browser storage, including technologies that are strictly necessary, some website features or preference controls may not work as intended.
6. Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google. When you consent to Analytics, GA4 uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and maintain session state.
We use the information to understand website performance and patterns of use, for example which pages are useful and how visitors move through the site. We do not use GA4 on this website to create advertising audiences or run behavioural retargeting at launch.
Information processed through Google Analytics may be handled outside the United Kingdom. Our Privacy Notice explains how we approach international transfers and service providers.
7. Third-party learning and payment platforms
The Vue Solutions website may link you to third-party platforms used to purchase or access learning products, including Thinkific, Stripe and Hello Audio.
If you follow a link to a service operating on another domain, that service may use its own cookies or similar technologies. Its own cookie or privacy information will apply while you are using that service.
If we later embed third-party learning, payment, video, audio or other functionality directly into vuesolutions.co.uk and that changes the technologies used on your device, we will update this notice and the consent controls as needed.
8. Changes to this Cookie Notice
We may update this notice when the website, analytics setup, consent platform or other technologies change. The latest version will be published on this page and the date at the top will show when it was last updated.
We also review the live website periodically so that the cookie information reflects what is actually being used rather than a generic list of technologies that might be used.
